The Event School


The Events Summer School opened it's doors for the first time in 2010. From the moment the school bell rung it was a mix of exceptional learning opportunities all washed down with a touch of edutainment and the chance to mingle with classmates over a few illicit drinks once class had finished.

Our focus is on delivering results – genuine nuggets of expertise that people can apply to their work, knowledge and insight to enhance people’s life skills, a relaxed and fun working environment reflecting the time of year, and an opportunity to meet and learn from industry peers.

The Event School 2012 features:

  • National Chef of the Year 2011, Frederick Forster takes to the stage to bring a live cooking demonstration to the LIC, looking at seasonal treats for the summer event season.
  • Straight from the Mandarin Oriental, Heston Blumenthal's restaurant manager, Heather McKnight will present 'The History of British Gastronomy.
  • Joel Lawrence, famous for creating London's most expensive cocktail joins us for a cocktail masterclass direct from Ten Manchester Street Hotel, Marylebone.
