First Aid At Work One Day Course

Course Overview
It will enable the candidate to take control in an incident and apply basic first aid until the arrival of further support. It is ideal for those working in locations where they do not require the full first aid at work course, or those requiring emergency first aid skills for the home, home care and catering sectors.

- Life threatening bleeding
- Burns
- Asthma
- Croup
- Hyperventilation
- Poisons
- Heat and Cold injuries
- Allergies and the use of the Epi-Pen
- Record keeping
Course structure and duration
A 1 day (7hours) course which includes training, all associated course materials and demonstrations. Delegates are encouraged to actively participate in discussion sessions and group activities.
Assessment
The course is continually assessed throughout the day.
Certification is Issued by ABC Training which has tutors certified by the RIPH/CIEH
What is included in the cost
All course material, booklets and refreshments. Cost per person is £100 inc VAT.
What do you get out of it?
An accredited certificate which is not as time consuming as the Emergency First Aid at Work
The certificate will last 3 years from the date of issue
Staff will be able to look carefully at their own work activities, and work place, which contributes to a safer environment
